SOLVEIGH KAEHLER, born in Hamburg, has lived and worked in Greece since 1981. She studied literature in Germany, France and the United States (MA) and produced radio programmes in Berlin and Athens. She studied photography with Platon Rivellis and has a predilection for ancient sites, "vast expanses of an inner geography of memory". She has photographed the sounds and senses of French composer Kirjuhel's musical and poetic work Epic Fragments and creates with him work cycles mingling poetry, music and photography. She has exhibited in numerous galleries in Europe and the US and published five books of photography: CHAMBORD dream and dance , MONT-SAINT-MICHEL echo of light, CARNAC words of stone, Tide and Epic Fragments.
